Android 3.2 Update

When Huawei yesterday announced its latest showpiece was the big news not only the announcement of the media path. The press conference was also a disguised Android release of 3.2. This version of Google’s operating system will support Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The Chinese further reported that Android 3.2 was developed for 7-inch tablets. This is probably not entirely true.

In the summer will be the first Android tablets, such as the Motorola Xoom, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and the Acer Iconia Tab A500 are already equipped with Android 3.2. The whole range of screen sizes, from 7 inches to 10 inches, is supported.

Finally this opens the way for the previously announced 7-inch Honeycomb tablets. The Acer Iconia Tab A100 and the ASUS Eee Pad MeMo 3D were already proposed in January to the public. Acer very and admits that this is too long. The company gave earlier that the A100 is delayed by problems with the Android software on 7-inch tablets.

Buyers of the HTC Flyer can few months probably finally switch on Honeycomb. HTC has chosen to bring out this tablet with Android 2.3 as your operating system. This OS has its own user interface, called HTC Sense. Customizing HTC Sense to Honeycomb can be an obstacle for HTC to timely deliver an upgrade.

The problems with different display formats and resolutions are approved by Google. This fragmentation, as mentioned, certainly still hold half a year. Only then will be won this battle, with the recently announced Android-version called Ice Cream Sandwich.
